You can learn to drive a moped with a provisional license at 16, so it allows a few months for the license to arrive. While this may sound like an oddly specific age, it’s for a good reason. You can apply for a provisional license on the DVLA website once you’re 15 years and 9 months old. You’ll need a provisional license before you start driving. You can drive on a public road in the UK once you’re 17 years old. There are a couple of exceptions to this rule and things you need to keep in mind. Why?
